From the artist: This is one of five exceedingly touchable objects which are part imaginary creature, part hand forms – that were shaped by my two hands from sKratch, a plaster-like sculpting medium that is very ductile and exceedingly strong. I was moved to fashion them when my concept drawings for forms to be 3D printed became unprintable and I decided to dive in and build them by hand.
