From the artist: These images began with an article in the NYT that described how a brain from a dead pig was activated to restart basic cellular functions hours after death. This process has all kinds of far reaching, provocative implications.

I was entranced by this bit of science, as well as by the visuals that accompanied it. The Blue Hand, the gloved, experimenting hand, synced with a medical procedure on my own hand and then I began to see hands everywhere.
