Join us to celebrate the opening of the expansive exhibition Armond Lara, presenting a wide variety of sculptural works, marionettes, works on paper & more from one of the most important contemporary Indigenous artists in postmodernism.
Lara's ouevre presents biting, novel takes on popular figures in art and culture while his iconic blue buffalo float above, reminding the audience of the violence from which the artist's humor springs. This reception celebrates the first iteration of this retrospective's display, which will shift before the accompanying artist reception taking place over SWAIA Indian Market weekend.
This opening reception is presented concurrently with the debut of Cory Feder and Diego Medina's collaborative exhibition Alight.
