Join us as we celebrate the life and impact of Tigre Mashaal-Lively, who left this plane on October 1, 2022. On September 30 at 2 pm, we will gather at form & concept under Tigre's monumental collaborative sculpture The Solacii. For this informal gathering, please bring offerings to contribute to an altar and memories to share. Immediately following, the gallery will provide light refreshments.
On Sunday, October 1 at 10:30 am, we will gather again beneath Tigre's sculpture CoyoteSong, located across from the soccer field at the Municipal Recreation Sports Complex (205 Caja Del Rio Rd) for a more formal ceremony in remembrance.
Tigre Mashaal-Lively was a Black mixed-race, genderqueer artist from Philadelphia who lived and worked in New Mexico. They were a major community building force and their passing left a hole in the Santa Fe art scene and beyond that we'll feel forever.
