Arrivals 2022 welcomes a dynamic new circle of creatives to form & concept. This group exhibition, featuring work by an award-winning roster of emerging and established contemporary artists, includes ceramics, textiles, paintings, holograms, works on paper and artist books. Filling two rooms and over 3,000 square feet, the show serves as a prelude for our 2022 exhibition schedule—and a crossroads for names that are sure to make their mark in Santa Fe. The show opens with a reception on Friday, February 25, 5–7pm, and will be on view through March 26, 2022.
The show spotlights artists who challenge and shape the fields of contemporary craft, design and art. Drawing from feminist, queer, and Indigenous theories and concepts, the artists on view, many of whom hail from historically marginalized communities, expand cultural conversations with a deep understanding of their respective practices—and the future of their disciplines. True to their ever-shifting fields, they crystallize expansive ideas through impeccable technique and fearless experimentation. "These artists are defying preconceived notions of craft. form & concept is paying attention," says Gallery Director Jordan Eddy.
